Not a parent, but I still think my opinion will be of value. Firstly, I'm sure a hundred people have already sincerely mentioned 'parenting is hard' and it is - not everyone can be ready, and there is nothing that can make you ready. I find your situation rather interesting that you already have a son. It must keenly be a gutted feeling about how you the world makes you feel that you should know this person because they're 'yours' but indeed, bonding takes a while, even for new mums. I appreciate your honesty so much about this article, and I'll save to revisit this, when someone I know is struggling with something similar or if I'm struggling with something similar.
